Wow, I had no idea that the VCR (remember those?) had once been thought of as "Dangerous Technology!" It's amazing what you find when you surf around the internet.
I know I've already posted to my blog for the day, but I just couldn't resist this blast from the past!
Anyway..... Today is National VCR Day! Break out the old VHS tapes and enjoy some oldies, but goodies... that is, if you still have any lying around and if you still have a VCR that actually works. (don't tell anyone, but I do... I have a ton of VHS tapes, mostly Disney. Shhhhh)
I *heart* my VCR. Kids today have no idea the gratification that comes with pressing play at the precise spot you wanted to start watching! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, my son, now 3 years old, is so used to instant gratification with being able to "click" and play/replay a show on tv. But when we watch something on the VCR, he just doesn't get that it has to "rewind" LOL Not sure if the instant gratification of today's society is always a good thing.
DeleteHello just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in
ReplyDeleteyour post seem to be running off the screen in Chrome.
I'm not sure if this is a format issue or something to
do with web browser compatibility but I thought I'd post to let you know.
The style and design look great though! Hope you get the
issue fixed soon. Thanks
Feel free to surf to my web page; bet angel
That's strange. I use Google Chrome to edit/write/work on my blog. I wonder if it's the particular operating system? Does anyone else have an issue with it? Please be sure to comment and let me know if you do. Meanwhile, I'll try checking it with a different OS
